Born in the Philippines, on Dec. 28, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Jose Guevara and the late Cel-erina Guevara. Josephine was also the devoted wife of the late Harry Armstrong Sr. for 65 years.
She is survived by her seven beloved children, Raymond Armstrong, Sylvia Cornista, wife of the late Antonio Cornista Jr., Harry Armstrong Jr., husband of Joanne Armstrong, Lillian Waselus, wife of Michael Waselus, Mercedes Pruitt, wife of Alvin Pruitt, Cesar Armstrong, husband of Tonya Armstrong, and Jocelyn Donnelly, wife of Michael Donnelly.
Josephine will also be sadly missed by her 16 adoring grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, as well as a countless number of loving extended family members and friends.
Josephine will always be remembered for her unconditional love of her family whom she cared for and adored. She will also be fondly remembered for her unwavering love of sports. If she wasn't watching a sporting event on TV, she was taking part in her other favorite pastime – the casinos. Only two weeks before her passing, Josephine's children lovingly fulfilled one of her final wishes and traveled with her to a local casino.
The Armstrong family broken-heartedly says a heart-felt goodbye to our Matriarch, Josephine. But we all find peace in knowing she is now in the loving arms of her husband and joins the rest of our Guardian Angels in Heaven.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Dec. 30 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Chapel, 2427 Perkiomen Ave., Mt. Penn. Viewing will be held in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc., 229 N. 5th St., Reading, Friday from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605. Interment will be private. www.henningerfuneralhome.com

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
