Born in Maxatawny Township, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Sadie E. (Hartman) Kutz.
Mrs. Wehr was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Kutztown, and a former member of St. James United Church of Christ, Allentown where she was a member and soloist of the church choir from 1947 to 1976.
She was a 1943 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, and a 1946 graduate of the former Kutztown State Teachers College, now Kutztown University.
She was a school teacher for 34 years in the Allentown School District, with the last 23 years at Union Terrace School, Allentown, where she retired in 1981.
She was a life member of the PA State Education Association; Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, Lehigh Chapter; and The Kutztown Historical Society. She was a member of the Mary Livingston Order of Eastern Star #167, Allentown. She served two terms on the Alumni Association of Kutztown University and served in several offices on the board of the Allentown Women Teachers Club.
Joyce had a love for traveling and had taken several World cruises.
Survivors: Mrs. Wehr is survived by a step-son, Thomas N. Wehr, husband of Linda R. Rosato, Kempton; step-daughter, Sally A. (Knoll), wife of William Getchell, Point Pleasant, Bucks Co.; two step-grandchildren, Lynn E. Heath and Cassandra E. Getchell; and two step-great-grandchildren, Tanner and Miranda Heath.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy J. Henderson, in 1989.
Services: Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend John W. Davies, officiating. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and friends may call Friday morning, from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home.

I have never and will never forget her.
