June Riley

June Helene Riley, 86, of Bern Township, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 10:45 am in her residence. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Riley who passed away April 3, 2020. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Riley was the daughter of the late Irwin A. and Frieda M. (Catob) Barlass. She was a member of Saint Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Mrs. Riley is survived by her children Paul A. Riley husband of Elisa D. Riley of West Chester; Michael B. Riley husband of Sharon L. Riley of Stony Creek; Caitlin M. Overman wife of David J. Overman of Wilmington, Delaware; Kieran P. Riley of Leesport and her 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister Anita Hoisington of Mt. Airy, North Carolina and her brother Bruce Barlass of Walled Lake, Michigan. Mrs. Riley was preceded in death by granddaughter Nicole E. Overman, January 9, 2004. Funeral Procession will depart Bean Funeral Home 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights, Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church 925 Centre Ave. Reading at 10:00 am. Reverend Joseph Ganser, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home, Thursday from 8:00 am to 9:15 am.
