June D. Sweitzer

June D. (Bixler) Sweitzer, 85, of Benner Twp. previously residing in Huntingdon County, passed away Sunday, September 4th in Stoneridge Poplar Run in Myerstown, PA. June was married for sixty-five years to her loving husband Galen L. Sweitzer. Born in Brecknock Twp., Berks County, on June 8, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Stewart Bixler and Violet (Kissinger) Bixler. There are two children: Sid Sweitzer and wife Lisa and Selena (Sweitzer) Bortz and husband Edward. Also, six grandchildren: Bethany (Chrisman) Ostrum, Patricia (Christman) Rick, Larissa Sweitzer, Leah Sweitzer, Colby Bortz, and Datona Bortz. There is one great grandchild, Thomas Dean Rick. June was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Marklesburg, Huntingdon County. June and her husband Galen owned and operated the Woodland Camping Resort in Penn Twp., Hesston, PA A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, September 14th at 10:30 am in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple. Family and friends may attend a visitation with the family on Wednesday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 am in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
