Karen Fox Obituary

Karen M. Fox, age 54 years, of Shillington, passed away Monday, July 8, at Mercy Suburban Hospital, East Norriton, Montgomery County.

Karen was born in Reading on August 20, 1958, a daughter of the late Olie (Hirst) Yohn-Adam and John Yohn.

She was a 1976 graduate of Exeter High School, then attended Penn State.

Karen is survived by her companion, James B. Shivers, of Shillington; sister, Sharon L. Yohn, of Reading; brother, Robert A. Yohn, of Reinholds; and nephew, Rocky Yohn, of Adamstown. Her wit and logic sense helped many businesses in the area, including Ebay Community Voices. Karen loved life, loved fun and especially loved beach sand under her feet. She will be missed by many friends from around the world.

Services will be private with a celebration of life event to be announced to friends and family.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Reading Hospital Development Fund, Development Office-Reading Hospital, PO Box 16052, Reading, PA 19612-6052

Arrangements entrusted to the John P. Feeney Funeral Home, in Reading's Centre Park Historic District, 625 N. 4th St. at Centre Ave., Reading, PA 19601.

I was so saddened when I heard about Karen's passing,as I would see her update messages on Facebook. I know Karen from our days at Exeter Senior High School,and although my twin sister,Debbie and I were not among Karen's closest circle of friends...we were friends all the same and we would always talk to her in the hallways passing between classes.I know how difficult this time is for you all,as I have experienced the great loss of my twin,and your loss will not be a short or easy road to healing.
I wish to extend my deepest,and most heart felt sympathies to Karen's family. She will be missed always by those who knew and loved her. May God's Love & Blessings comfort you at this difficult time as you cope with her loss.

NOT only will miss Karen , I already do. She was one of my best friends I did not see her often and it was not often enough. When we got together for a roller coaster event that was the best times of the year. I will not enjoy the times as much now. Save a place for me near you if you can. LOVE Ed

I am so sad to hear of Karen's passing. I knew her from the Ebay chat board for several years and we corresponded a bit off that board as many of our philosophies were alike...in private conversations she called herself my "evil twin" jokingly as we had so much in common. I am so sorry to hear of her passing many, many years before it should have happened. She was a great help to many Ebayers, and the Ebay community will miss her as well, I am sure.

Jim: I'm sending my sincerest sympathy to you in the loss of Karen. I met you & Karen when I moved in to Marty & Cindy's building & resided there for a few years. I was very glad to meet both of you as I could see that you were great neighbors. I always looked forward to the annual fireworks display in Shillington with the three of us sitting in the parking lot & chatting.

I know that with the help of famly & friends, you'll get through this difficult time. Just take one day at a time; that's all anyone can do.

We are so saddened by this news. Our hearts, love, and hopes, go out to all of our dearly departed Karen's family and friends. Know that we are praying for comfort, strength and peace for all who mourn the death of our friend :*(
Jim, and family, we know how very much you will miss her. Our hearts are broken, that we won't get to see you two, at the Glenside Reunions, in the future. So very happy to have met you both, Jim, and experience lots of fun, with you guys.
She better save me a seat to play that really neat game, that you two brought with you, last year! Sorry we didn't have just ONE MORE YEAR, at the reunion, which was just a few weeks ago. I have to thank our dearly departed Paul BOUGHTER (my former elementary school classmate), and his sister, Beth (Karen's best friend from childhood), for having the reunion. I would have never met Karen, in person, had it not been for Paulie getting a pavillion (sp?), where we could all meet out in the open___Paulie continued that just for me [so he said :) ), too, so that I could continue to come. WOW! Beth lost her husband, and then a few weeks later, her dear childhood friend. Praying for her, too. Gonna miss Karen terribly :*(
So sorry for prattling on. My doppleganger has continued onto the other shore. See you when I get there, Karen ! And, Robert ! Thanks so much for keeping us all posted, throughout Karen's journey. She is now WHOLE !!! Thank God !
