Kelly Lynn (Owens) Jones, 52, of Mt. Penn, PA passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late John “Jack” C. Owens and Francine A. (Wichlacz) Owens of Birdsboro, PA. Kelly was a waitress for Victor Emmanuel II Beneficial Society for 20 years. She enjoyed listening to music especially the Rolling Stones and was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Notre Dame Football. She also enjoyed family get-togethers and vacations to Myrtle Beach and the Outer Banks. Kelly was known for her kind heartedness, good sense of humor and contagious smile. Surviving Kelly are: 1 son: Evan T. Jones; 1 daughter: Hayley P. Jones; mother: Francine A. Owens; 4 brothers: Christopher, Eric, Michael, and David Owens; and 1 sister: Jaclyn Owens. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 10:30am at the Immaculate Conception BVM RC Church, 905 Chestnut St. Douglassville, PA 19518. A visitation will be from 9:30am-10:30am at the church before mass on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Rd. Birdsboro, PA 19508. Dengler Funeral Home, Inc. Birdsboro, PA is in charge of arrangements.

My deepest sympathies to Kelly´s family. I had the pleasure of working with Kelly at the airport restaurant many years ago. Her contagious smile, sense of humor, and love for her family made her so special. She was so much fun to be around. Anytime I would run into her, she was always kind and friendly.

So very sorry to hear this news. We were visiting Reading (from San Diego) and heard about Kelly's hospitalization. We met her several times at Victor Emmanuel where my Dad (Lee Nave) was president. Kelly had a great sense of humor and we enjoyed her very much. Our sincere sympathy to her family at this very difficult time. RIP Kelly.
