Born in Reading, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles Z.W. Bright and the late Loretta (Reitnauer) Keim, he was raised by his late father Preston Keim. He was the widower of Mae (Eck) Bright, who died on November, 14, 2013.
Kenneth was employed as a psychiatric aide at Norristown State Hospital, retiring in 1994. He served 2 years in WWII in the occupation of Japan. Later Kenneth would be a graduate of Albright College Class of 1954, attending under the G.I. Bill. He was a member of the American Legion Post 626, in Birdsboro.
Kenneth is survived by 5 daughters: Deborah M. Pierce, of Houston, TX, Linda L. Bright, at home, Claudia Soellner, of Schuylkill Haven, Pa., and Karen Blackwell, of Lehighton, Pa., Wilma Vamvakis of Athens, Greece;. He is survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and 4 nephews and 4 nieces.
He is predeceased by 1 daughter: Penelope Hontz.
A funeral service will be held at the Dengler Funeral Home Inc., 144 N. Spruce St. Birdsboro, PA 19508 on Thursday, September 14, 2017, 10:30 a.m. and a viewing will be held an hour before the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Berks Unit 49,8 Bellevue Ave. Reading, PA 19605 or American Heart Assoc., 212 East Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018.
Dengler Funeral Home Inc., Birdsboro, Pa., is in charge of the arrangements.
