Born in Gilbertsville, he was the son of the late Eden and Sallie (Krause) Stauffer.
Kenneth was a 1941 graduate of Boyertown High School. He was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran; he was a seaman serving on the USS Boston. Kenneth was a member and served as an usher of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyertown. He formerly served as both a treasurer and usher at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sassamansville; also member of Boyertown Lions Club, Oley American Legion, Boyertown Area Historical Society and other historical societies in Berks County.
He worked on a punch press at the former Boyertown Auto Body Works for over 30 years.
Kenneth enjoyed following the musical activities of his grandchildren.
Surviving with his wife, Ruth, is a son, Michael K., husband of Jody (Slaughter) Stauffer of California; a daughter, Carole A., wife of Daniel F. Kershetsky of Bechtelsville; and three grandchildren: Brandon Stauffer of California, and Julia and Alexander Ker-shetsky of Bechtelsville.
He was predeceased by a sister, Alverda Reppert.
Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 45 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown. Rev. John G. Pearson will officiate.
A viewing will be Monday between 9:45 and 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sassamansville.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Boyertown Alumni Marching Unit, P. O. Box 93, Boyertown, PA 19512.
