Mary Z. O’Neill

Mary Z. (Frank) O’Neill, 85, died unexpectedly on September 10, 2021 in Penn State Health / St. Joseph. She was married March 26, 1955 to Joseph A. O’Neill, who died November 28, 2007. Born in Reading, PA on May 13, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Edward Frank and Mary (Millek) Frank Bube. Mary was employed 10 years as a candy maker with Davis Candy, Reading and later as a saleswoman with 9th & Oley Outlets until her retirement. She was a volunteer at the Olivet’s Boys and Girls Club, Reading, for over 20 years and was a member of its Ladies Auxiliary. Mary loved watching television, and bus trips with fellow seniors from Olivet’s, but most importantly, spending time with her granddaughters and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Zitta M. (O’Neill), wife of Robert H. Conner of Reading and two granddaughters: Karis M. Conner, fiancee of Kevin Landry of Candia, New Hampshire, and Marisa Jo (Conner), wife of Brian W. Massie. Other survivors include four great grandchildren: Summer J. Callahan, McKayla P. Callahan, Grayson T. Massie, and Nora L. Massie. Mary was predeceased by her two younger brothers: John and Edward Frank. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 17th at 12:00 noon in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605, with a visitation starting at 11:00 am.
