Mary Slovik Obituary
She was the widow of the late Walter F. Slovik, who died Nov. 5, 1986.
Born in Windber, Somerset County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Korzuchowska) Brzana.
She was an office worker for a garment company before retirement.
Slovik was a member of St. Williams Parish, Brunswick, Ga.
Surviving are two sons, James F. Slovik, Bern Township; and Walter J. Slovik, Ruidoso, N.M.; and a daughter, Susan M. Valoroso, Hauppauge, N.Y.
Other survivors include four brothers: Thomas Brzana, Windber; John Brzana, Inkster, Mich.; Joseph Brzana, Elton; and Michael Brzana, Dearborn, Mich.; and three sisters: Elizabeth Brida, Shilo, N.J.; Sophie Cerwinsky, Windber; and Hedwig Carrara, Freedom, Pa.
There are also nine grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three sisters: Barbara Horwath, Theresa Venarini and Helen Bonitz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, with the Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek VF, officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery, Windber. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in William Kisiel Funeral Home, 1015 Graham Ave. Windber, PA 15963.
The Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Shillington, is in charge of local arrangements.
