Mary, I've known you 25yrs. I met you as a child. You were the coolest chic I know. We shared lots of laughs back then. Since then we've had our ups and downs however I choose to remember all the good. I appreciate and cherish the brief time we lived together. I learned so much from you and about you. You were much more than artistic and poetic. You were a great cook, good listener, so smart, strong, beautiful! Always a loving grandmother to my daughters Alexis and Natalie. It's wonderful to see a little bit of your spirit in my girl's eyes. Thanks for everything Mary. You will always be loved and missed! Your legacy will live on through your family! RIP xoxo

Mary was truly one of a kind. She could be so stubborn lol and she wasn't one to sugarcoat her opinions, but she was never hurtful, it was just the opposite. She had a way of always making you feel loved, in her house you always felt at home and if you were upset she always made you feel like she was on your side. I knew her for years but am thankful to say I spent every day for several months with her and I learned a lot from her in that time, mostly how to be a strong woman. And she was easily the strongest, most resilient woman I've ever known, or expect to meet in this life. The most important thing to her was always family, and her face lit up with pride anytime she spoke of her children and grandchildren. She always said that her most valued items were her photographs-a stack of those huge rubber bins that went wherever she did, and she was always happy to open an album and name every person in every picture and tell stories about when it was taken. Even when she was stuck in bed and not feeling well, she would laugh and share her memories of her life which sadly, was way too short, but so full of adventure and love. That's how I'll always remember her--leaned over an album, pointing, with her eyes sparkling and and huge smile on her face saying something like, "oh, man! What a trip!!" Or sitting on the porch, telling me how much she loved the sun on her face and her feet in the grass and how she stayed outside as much as she could in her younger days...I'm so thankful for those long talks and for opening her opening her heart and home to me and the many others she took under her wing. RIP and know how much you will be missed, Mary♡
