Matthew Roman Obituary
Matthew Antonio Roman Sr., 33, of Reading passed away in his sleep at his residence during the afternoon hours of Wednesday May 1, 2013.
Matthew was born in Oakland, California, a son and stepson of Diane C. (Williams), wife of Jesus Centeno Jr., and Tony S. and Michele Roman.
Matthew is survived by his children, Lillianna Renee Roman and Matthew Antonio Roman Jr. of Kenhorst and Alexander Konig of New Castle, Washington.
Other survivors include Matthew's stepson, Jamin Heck of Muhlenberg Twp.; his sister, Megan A. Centeno of Kenhorst; and brother, Christopher A. Roman of Shillington; and his maternal grandmother Helen L., widow of Henry J. Katarzynski, of Reading.
Matthew is also survived by his stepbrothers and sister: Desmond A., husband of of Jennette Centeno; Daymond, husband of Shannon Centeno; Darrius A. Centeno; Jason A., husband of Sheree Spotts; Brian A., husband of Janle Spotts, and Risha N. Centeno. Matthew is also survived by his stepgrandparents Jesus Sr. and Teresa Centeno, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, especially Debra Ruhnke.
Matthew was a 1997 graduate of Reading High School and was currently attending Reading Area Community College.
Matthew loved to go for long walks and write his thoughts on paper; but most of all he loved his children. He will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to extend their sympathy and respects to Matthew's family on Saturday May 4, 2013, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Kopicki-Bradley Funeral Home Inc., 239 South Ninth Street, Reading 19602. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Cumru Twp.
It has been suggested in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mrs. Diane C. Centeno, 1805 Liberty Ave., Reading 19607 to help defray the funeral expenses.

Uncle Matt Matt, being young I remember when you would tease me or make me giggle and when ever I came over I always asked were uncle matt matt was. Reading this just made reality set in, i was in shock & denial at first but now it's real. We couldn't be separated as kids and as teens. We grew older and went our separate ways but now that i wont be able to see you or crack jokes on each other it's crushing me, it wasn't suppose to be this way!
