For my family I grieve our loss. His grandparents, mother and stepdad Charlie's (my brother) lives are now shaped by their special memories and how much they can help one another just get through each new day. I believe Michael is with the angels and in a better place, and never farther then our dreams...until we one day meet again. Michael's good looks and smile made him stand out. I remember seeing him wearing his cool clothes and thought how nicely he grew into a young man. Posting his picture in the paper with Charlie not only made his stepdad happy and proud, but showed his true heart.
My hugs and prayers to all.
For our Beloved Michael... let this comfort those he left behind.
(23rd Psalm)
1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

To all the family and friends who attended Mike's celebration of life on Saturday May 26th.....
We were so totally and amazingly overwhelmed with the outpouring of love, emotion and joy that we witnessed this past saturday. We all knew Mike was loved and admired by many people, but honestly, we had no idea how far and wide his heart and soul had stretched. Every single one of you that we spoke to, had nothing but fun and fond memories of Michael. Charlie and I felt like we needed weeks to actually talk to everyone of you and we are truly sorry that we did not have the time to sit and talk to you for longer then we did. When we got home that night, we felt bad that we did not have more than a few minutes with each of you. We had mixed emotions about saturday coming. We wanted it to come because we knew it would make us feel better knowing how many people cared about Mike, but on the other hand we were afraid for it to come, because what would be after that? Would that be the end? Would everyone then forget about Michael? Well, after saturday we realized that forgetting was not an option. We found it so amazing that some of you came thru the gate, and Charlie and I had to ask who you were!!! To every single one of you...the kids from band, Mike's friends, Mike's co-workers our co-workers, our friends, and of course Michael's own family, we are truly blessed to have met every one of you. And thank you so much for all the help that we received from every one. There is no way that Charlie and I could have possibly put this celebration together without you. I will remember meeting each of you. Charlie and I also hope that everyone enjoyed the celebration. We tried to do what Mike would have wanted. I know we ran out of the small pictures we had of Mike to hand out, so if anyone of you did not get one and would like one, please email us and we will make sure you get one. And also, to all Mike's friends who wanted other pictures, please email us or get in touch with us so we can get them to you. I hope a part of Mike will live forever in all of you. Charlie and I know that a lot of the things that Mike stood for, will certainly be inside of us for the rest of our lives. Our lives changed that horrible Monday morning. They changed for the worst because we are wondering how we will possibly be able to go on breathing without Michael in our lives, but we believe that they also changed for the better. Because Michael stood for truth, compassion and enlightenment. Something that we should all model our lives after. Charlie and I have already begun to live our lives after these three words. We hope you all will, also.

Jill, Charlie and Grandparents,
I wanted you to know it was a pleasure meeting all of you. Myke was his own individual. I am one of the lucky ones to have many pictures of him(still displayed in my home). He was so much a part of our lives for 4 1/2 years. We also have the video of him singing at Heather's prom, in front of all her classmates. That took a brave soul. These things and all the memories will be with us forever. He will always be that special ANGEL around all of us.

Our deepest sympanthy to all of Mike's family & friends. We came to know Mike thru Collette. Mike transported Donald to the track a few Saturdays over the past year. What a really great guy. Donald really enjoyed Mike's company and we are sad to learn of this unfortunate loss.

Jill and Charlie,
Where do you start and what do you say? All I know is that life just isn’t fair. It feels like just yesterday Mike and his friends were DJing and signing happy birthday to me at my birthday party. Which was over ten years ago my gosh. I still have the page they signed in my book QUEST....I can remember when they were my guests at school that same year. And every time I saw Mike it was like no time had passed. He was funny and outgoing... and always working towards something. I can remember how I never really looked forward to catering but just walking in and seeing Mike I knew it would be an interesting night and it always was! He was always trying to introduce me to different music and places to experience that music. I have always looked to you Jill and Charlie and Mike as family. I am so sorry for your loss, as a son, our loss as family, friends, and him as a wonderful person. Mike has touched so many people’s lives in a way they will never forget. We will all miss him soo much. If there is anything at all I can do please let me know, until then you and Mike will be in my thoughts and prayers. I love you all, Nicolette.

I knew Mike through a small circle of friends that goes back almost 10 years(Mapp/Perch). It seems like just yesterday we were all hanging out in Mark's attic. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend his service, but if I could, I would say that I will always remember his positive outlook and warm personality. It isn't often that you interact with people who inspire you and who you always learn something from, but with Mike, that was true ;) I feel blessed to have known you!

To everyone who has signed Mike's guestbook.....
Charlie and I are so very overwhelmed by the love, support and compassion of all of Mike's friends and family. We knew Mike was loved and respected dearly, but we had no idea how widespread his heart had extended. I want you all to know that the words written in this guestbook have comforted us tremendously. Just knowing how many people Mike has affected lifts our heart a little more every day. Once again I want to invite everyone of you and your families, to join us in celebrating all the accomplishments that Michael has made in his all too short life. Charlie and I would love to meet each and everyone of you. Please join us on Saturday May 26th at 2pm at 413 South 4th Street for a casual celebration and remembrance of Michael's life.
Thank you all so much.....

This is such a shock to me because exactly one week before Michael passed on, I lost another friend Travis Shollenberger in an auto accident.
Mike, although we knew each other briefly, I will never forget how gracious and hospitable you were from the jump with me. After the first time we met through Punchy at staples, you had no problem inviting me into your home (which my sister and I agree, was incrediblely decorated through your work and creativity)...I'll always remember how it was so easy to talk for hours on end about nothing and everything at the same time. You had quite a way with words whether it would be talking about life or spitting free styles off the dome. I dug your flow, truely. I hadn't seen you for a minute since we ran into each other at sheetz on 5th. I looked at my phone today and teared up when I saw the name "Mike Aviators". God bless your soul. I know wherever you are right now, you're rocking your trademark aviators and giving us that smile. Love and respect to your family and friends. Jay, Drew, Mark, Punchy, all of you and the ones I don't know.
As a final note to all of Mike's music collaborators, if there is any way I can help make the Myke Jewelz album happen or if you need help putting the tracks together whether its mixing, editing, etc... please don't hesitate to hit me up. I'll do any amount of work to make this project come to life for free because we need his legacy to live on through his music.
LOVE AND RESPECT!

Everyone,
Here is the last picture I took of Myke with his MOM. Note the gleam in her eyes as they were filled with joy. Jill looked like this every single time Myke came around, every night for dinner as a matter of fact, a tearfull lol, but weather she saw him ten minutes prior and he came back or saw him the next day, every meeting was a joyfull event for her because she loved him that much. This gleam is gone now, but as she looks through all the pictures, she's been smiling, even with tears in her eyes because he brought her so much joy. Enjoy the picture since you all know Jill and Myke. I wish there was someway to have him here again, a hopefull wish, but one that will never come true, if only to see her experience that gleam just one omre time. I love Myke so much as "my boy", that my heart is being ripped from my chest and I can't get over it. Please, be at the celebration to support Myke and his dreams and the most wonderfull mother any man could have. Thank you all for showing us how many REAL FRIENDS Myke has.

Jill & Charlie,
Mike was a great friend to me. I can honestly say everytime I ever needed mike with anything in life he always came thru for me. I'm so sorry that you, I, and the world had to lose such a great mind and a great person. Ive known Mike for a long time and cant even begin to explain all the stuff we did. One thing for sure is we always had a good time. Mike is a big reason why I decided to become a artist. It is a pleasure and an Honor to know that I've done more Music with MykeJules than anybody else. I dont know anyone who would talk about the issuses mike would talk about. I could dig that :). We allways stayed real with eachother and thats why I think we got along so well. Being a Parent of 2 beautiful little girls i dont know what I would do If I ever lost either of them. Things like this aren't not just supposed to happen. I guess its all apart of gods plan. I love Mike and even though I never really got to know you 2 too well I know so much about you just because of Mike always talking about you. My words might seemed jumbled and mixed up at times but they are from the HEART. If there is anything I could ever do for you Jill and Charlie please do not hesitate to let me know. To you Mike....save a spot for me man. HF will let your name live on. Please tell Greg that Duggies is still makin a bangin steak and cheese....but he shouldve tried a cuban once in a while :)...R.I.P....I love you.

Jill, Charlie, Mom and Dad,
It's so hard to lose a loved one. It's hardest of all to lose a child or grandchild. The love Mike has shown you throughout the years can and will never be forgotten and that love will help you through this.
Mike had a plan for his life, but God had another one for him. Unfortunatly the first part of that plan included taking him from all of us at such a young age.
Now you must wait and see what that plan will be. You will know when the time comes.
Weep for joy not from pain; Mike would've wanted it that way.
We love you.

MYKE JULES WAS BEFORE HIS TIME, BEFORE ALL OF OUR TIMES. HE'S BEEN THERE FOR EVERYONE WHO HE LOVED AND WHO LOVED HIM. WE CAN ALL NAME A TIME AND PLACE WHERE MYKE HELPED US OUT, GAVE ENCOURAGING WORDS OR JUST GAVE HIS HONEST OPINION. MYKE WAS TOO MUCH FOR THIS WORLD TO HOLD HERE. HE WAS ON ANOTHER LEVEL AND GOD SEEN THAT, AND NEEDED HIM TO WATCH OVER US FROM THE HEAVENS ABOVE. THERE'S ONLY SO MUCH MAN CAN DO BUT GOD SEEN AND ANGEL IN MYKE AND NEEDED HIM TO GUIDE US MORE THAN HE DID ON EARTH. SO I KNOW MYKE WILL REST IN PEACE BECAUSE ALL HE CAN DO HERE, HE DID. THERE IS NO ONE LIKE MYKE! THERE NEVER WILL BE. HE'LL MAKE HIS RENOVATIONS IN HEAVEN NOW, HE'LL MAKE HIS OPINIONS MATTER ON A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL AND HE'LL MAKE SURE WE ALL WALK UP TO THE GOLDEN GATES TO BE WITH HIM.
LOVE YOU, R.I.P. MYKE JULES

On Monday, May 15th, at approximately 1:30A.M in the morning, I lost one of my best friends, Michael J. Sternberg. You have meant so much to me and my family. In fact, you were family. All I can remember is the phone call I made to you on Sunday night at approximately 11:30pm to talk about some family issues and I wish I was awake to answer your call several minutes later. Just like Sunday night’s conversation you were always there when I needed you for anything. I remember times when I didn’t have a car and you were there to give me a ride home from work or elsewhere. The point is no matter the situation or time of day, you made yourself available to me. I can imagine the things you put on hold just to cater to my needs. I remember many conversations we had about different aspects of life; most recently about change. Changes in our lives and the city of Reading we live in. We had plans and we set goals; plans and goals for ourselves and our community. The Reading Connection will still pursue these goals in your absence and with you in our thoughts. I know how much I will miss you and how much my family will miss you. I also know how much your true friends will miss you. You have been a blessing to us all.
Mike thank you for being a friend; a best friend. I pray that God will be with your family, my family and all of your closest friends during this time of need.
Through God’s Love and Mercy may you REST IN PEACE.
Once again thank you.

Everyone,
We've never felt such pain as we did in the last two days. Thank you all for such wonderfull support, we had no idea that we had so many "real" friends. We are giving you all a view of a wonderfull picture I took while we were shooting for Mykes C.D. cover. It's a picture rarely seen by many, it's the true Myke that we raised and loved so dearly. There is also a shot of the little boy in Myke that he never lets anyone see, as a side of him. We hope you all enjoy these pictures and are all welcome to join us as stated for Mikes celebration of life gathering. Please be casual, please be yourself.
