She was the wife of Ira L. Leeser, to whom she was married for 55 years until his death in 1988. Born in Clayton, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Edna (Fisher) Stauffer.
She owned Miriam's Beauty Shop in Macungie for 56 years before retiring. She was a member of Huff's Union Church, Ladies Auxiliary at the church and Women's Club of Macungie. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mary Livingston/Ann Penn Allen Chapter.
She was part owner and on the Board of Directors
of Maple Grove Raceway and Maple Grove Development Organization. She was past president and board member
of Stauffer Enterprises.
Survivors: sons: Barrie L. (Nancy), Phillip N. and John H. (Jane); sister, Evelyn Lewis; two grandchildren, Michael Leeser (Enrique) and Jamie Leeser Nawaday (Kan); two great-grandchildren, Willa and Esther Nawaday; Lance Coster (like a grandson).
Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Huff's Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the church.
Schmoyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Miriam's memory may be made to the church, 18011.
