Born in Marion Twp., PA on May 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Oscar W. Sr. and Ella (Heisey) Deamer.
He was employed as a truck driver at Carlos R. Leffler, Richland for 41 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Womelsdorf Fire Co., a lifetime member of the Marion Grange # 1853, Richland American Legion Post 880 & Neptune Fire Co., Richland.
He is survived by a son, Timothy, husband of Beth Deamer, of Shillington; granddaughter, Chelsea Deamer of Shillington; sisters Martha Deck of Myerstown, Ruth Harlinger of Ephrata, Laura Moore of Manheim, and Helen Tittle of Richland; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary May, and a brother, Mahlon Deamer.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment at Tulpehocken UCC Cemetery, Richland.
