Oscar Deamer Obituary
Oscar "Osy" W. Deamer Jr., 81, of Richland, died
Friday, December 20, 2013 at his residence.
Born in Marion Twp., PA on May 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Oscar W. Sr. and Ella (Heisey) Deamer.
He was employed as a truck driver at Carlos R. Leffler, Richland for 41 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Womelsdorf Fire Co., a lifetime member of the Marion Grange # 1853, Richland American Legion Post 880 & Neptune Fire Co., Richland.
He is survived by a son, Timothy, husband of Beth Deamer, of Shillington; granddaughter, Chelsea Deamer of Shillington; sisters Martha Deck of Myerstown, Ruth Harlinger of Ephrata, Laura Moore of Manheim, and Helen Tittle of Richland; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary May, and a brother, Mahlon Deamer.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment at Tulpehocken UCC Cemetery, Richland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn., Lebanon Div., 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603. www.grosefuneralhome.com.
