Patrick O'Brien

Patrick Michael O’Brien, 68, died unexpectedly on November 25, 2021. He was married September 17, 1988 to Diane S. (Feltenberger) O’Brien. Born in Reading, PA on August 14, 1953, he was a son of the late Vincent and Helen O’Brien. Pat was a 1971 graduate of Muhlenberg High School. He worked for the Borough of Laureldale for 35 years, retiring in 2018 as the Streets Supervisor and Code Enforcement Officer. Pat later worked part-time at Luppold’s Hardware, Laureldale. He loved fishing in Delaware at the Indian River Inlet and going to “Deer Camp” with his friends. Pat was a lifetime member of Central Fire Company and was also a past firefighter and engineer with the company. He is survived by six children: Erin, wife of James Stroup of Temple; Heather, wife of Charles Stoeber of Muhlenberg Township; William, husband of Lori Kutz of Temple; Duane, husband of Sonya O’Brien of Bethlehem; Michael O’Brien of Laureldale; and Kristina (Reed), wife of Christopher Noll of Muhlenberg Township. Other survivors include 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a sister, Jacqueline Manmiller of Wernersville. Pat was predeceased by a brother, James O’Brien.
