1937 - 2022

Pauline Sylvia Morgenstein passed away early Sunday morning February 13, 2022, Super Bowl Sunday, at Fairlane Gardens Nursing home in Exeter, PA. She was predeceased by her parents Gladys (Kneital) and David Morgenstein ( Brooklyn NY), her sister Dorothy Schweitzer ( Brooklyn NY) her brother -in-law Morris Schweitzer ( Brooklyn NY) and her niece Linda Weiner ( Brooklyn NY) last living in Holmdel NJ. Pauline is survived by her nephew-in-law Jeff Weiner (Brooklyn NY) currently living in Holmdel NJ, Great- nephew Greg Weiner born in Keyport NJ currently of Fair Haven NJ, Great-niece Rachael Weiner born in Keyport NJ currently of Seabright NJ, Great-niece Allison McGee born in Holmdel NJ currently of Fair Haven NJ and several great great nephews. Pauline is also survived by a cousin Norman Horing born in Brooklyn and currently of Hoboken NJ. Pauline was born March 12, 1937 in Brooklyn NY. On June 23, 1952, Pauline received her diploma from the board of education of the city of New York. After attending the the 1958 International Convention of Jehovah’s Witness at Yankee Stadium in New York City New York, she studied the Bible with the Compazza family in Brooklyn and began associating with the Pitkin Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Pauline symbolized her dedication to her God Jehovah on June 17, 1963. Pauline moved to the Reading PA around 1970. During the last 50 plus years, she was a member of the Reading East Congregation, the Reading Northwest Congregation, and the North Reading Congregation. Pauline had served as a regular pioneer minister before her health started to decline. She attended the 2009 International Convention of Jehovah’s Witness in Hamburg Germany with her friends Jayme and Jason Jadush. Pauline had worked as a housekeeper at Berks Heim nursing home and retired from RACC as a housekeeper in 2002. Pauline will be fondly remembered for her practicality, honesty, loyalty, and as “The Brooklyn Kid” with her quick wit and sense of dry humor. The friends of Pauline would like to thank the staff of Fairlane Gardens (Exeter, PA) and Grane Hospice (King of Prussia, PA) for their compassion and kindness they showed Pauline during her time with them. Interment will be private. A Zoom memorial service is arranged through the Reading North Congregation on Saturday March 5, 2022 at 2pm. All are welcome to attend virtually.
