Cannot STILL believe I will never talk to her again. We had some great LONG conversations. Will not delete her phone # from my list. She is still with me. So sorry for the family. She was a girl who would not give in to her disease till the end. Miss you Polly.

My wife Susan and I are heartbroken to hear the news of Polly's passing. We were thankful to have been in touch with her regularly over the past several years prior to her illness. We can certainly attest to her fighting spirit and attitude until her final days. She had friends and family in her thoughts always.... and great memories.
I first met Polly at SPFHS in the mid 1970's and became very close to the Checchio family over the ensuing decades to the present time. I remember holding Chris and Portia as infants. My wife Susan first met Polly when she lived in Palos Verdes, CA. and was married to Bill with small children, Portia and Chris. We also enjoyed their home in Sudbury MA and have many, many happy memories and laughs that will be cherished always.
Our love and thoughts are with the Checchio family.

What can you say about Polly? She had a smile that always made you feel welcome. We got to know one another after high school when he neighbor (my mother-in-law) passed. She wanted life, to live and loved a good Peroni Beer. You fought a long battle my friend and now are seeing God for yourself. I know you are happy and no longer in pain. Enjoy your time with your mom and dad and I will see you when the Lord calls me. Maureen (Mrs. Fitz.)

My sympathies go out to Polly's extended family for your loss of such a wonderful person. Polly and I went to high school together and she always had a ready smile.
I ordered some trees to be planted in Polly's memory, so she'll live on.

My condolences to her family, May she Rest Peace.
