Ralph F. Smith

Ralph F. "Dick" Smith, 92, of Muhlenberg Twp., formerly of Hamburg, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 in his residence. He was the husband of the late Joyce D. (Kunkel) Smith. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Ralph N. and Nora E. (Brettman) Smith. He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict. Dick worked as an inspector at Carpenter Technology for 25 years before retiring in 1987. He was an avid golfer for most of his life. He is survived by a son: Ralph A. Smith, Kutztown; three daughters: Sandra L. (Smith) Santiago, wife of David, Kutztown, Sherry L. (Smith) Moore, wife of Richard, Lewisburg, and Shelley (Smith) Gibo, Hudson, FL; twelve grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Ralph had three siblings: William G. Smith, Fern L. (Smith) Noll, and Rose Marie (Smith) Coldren. Memorial services will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (off street parking in rear).
