Ralph Wike Obituary


Ralph L. Wike Sr., 89, Wernersville, passed away Thursday, October 20th, 2011 of natural causes at the Reading Hospital. His wife, Pearl M. (Fromm) Wike died in 1977.

Born in Wernersville, he was the son of the late Henry E. and Cora A. (Moyer) Wike.

He retired from Rockwell, formerly Textile Machine Works.

He was a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Sinking Spring, where he served as Church Treasurer for 26 years.

He is survived by his companion, Carrie (Wagner) Moyer, Wernersville; a son, Ralph L. Wike, Jr., husband of Karen, Sinking Spring; a daughter, Nancy L. May, Wyomissing; four grandchildren: Michele (May) wife of Marty Mislevy, Exeter; Michael May, West Lawn; Christine, wife of Joshua Sturgis, Hampton, VA; and David Wike, Sinking Spring; and seven great-grandchildren: Alex and Austin Mislevy, and Marc, Garrison, Morgan, Sierra, and Avery Sturgis.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville, with Pastor Terry Byrd officiating. Friends are invited to call from 10-11:00AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery, Robesonia.

Memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Ralph Wike to Christar, PO Box 850357, Richardson, TX 75085 for the benefit of the mission work of Randy and Amina Ruth.
