He was married to the late Christianne E. (Umstead) Shilensky, who passed away April 7, 2008.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph Shilensky and Genevieve (Schemenski) Shilensky.
He was employed by Shop Rite in West Chester in the produce department for many years.
He is survived by a daughter, Theresa. Also a sister, Doris Yohn, wife of James Yohn, of Douglassville and a half-sister, Georgann, wife of David Weil.
Three are two grandchildren, Sherri Gehringer and Brian Shilensky. Also there are three great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by a son, Raymond Shilensky Jr., and survived by Raymond's wife, Gloria Shilensky.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 9th, at 10:30 a.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Rd., Reading PA 19606.
There will not be a public viewing.

So sorry to here of Rays passing my condolences to the Shilensky family. I have worked with Ray for close to 40 years at the Shop-Rite of West Chester. You cold not find a better man or coworker to have has a friend. You will be missed by all.

I worked with Raymond 60 years ago at Food Fair and he was always a very nice man. So sorry to hear of his passing but i'm Sure heaven has a special place waiting for him!
