Rick was a 1978 graduate of Holy Name High School, attended Towson University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communications from Millersville University.
He was cameraman for sports networks FOX, ESPN and Blueridge Productions.
Rick is survived by his daughters, Autumn L. Rotondo of Tiptree, Essex, England, and Sandy J. Ridpath, wife of Daryl M. Ridpath of Tiptree, Essex, England; along with his brother, Barry Rotondo of West Lawn.
Rick was preceded in death by his brothers, William Rotondo Jr. and Robert Rotondo.
Rick was the life and soul of the party with his crazy dance moves; his singing talent was always revealed after a few beers especially singing karaoke, alongside his loving partner, Suze Matz.
Rick had a great love for sport from golfing, where he claims to be the single digit handicap, to football which was his greater passion not only here in the United States but England where his number 55 jersey now sits retired.
Not only was he a great friend he was also a loving dad who passed on his humor and his love of life to his two daughters.

You first came into my life back in 95' Rick and we were pals all the way though. Too many crazy Rotondo stories to mention..life around you was never dull.
Your out there somewhere raising hell..the faint hearted are frowning whilst everyone who gets you just can't stop laughing.

Hi Rick,
I know you are out there!
Only those who loved you really understood the true RR
A legend to be sure, you shone a light on life that we could only wish for if we were man enough to admit it!
You left us in the same style you lived your life - FULL ON
So go to it in your new world and show them the way, the Rick Rotondo way, make them smile like they never have before!
You will be missed by those that new you and by those who will never have the opportunity to meet you!

Words cannot do justice to the feeling of loss and sadness we, the Colchester Gladiators as a team and as individuals, are feeling now. Rick was, and always will be a legend to us. His love for life and his infectious personality knew no bounds. Glad to have caught up with him a couple of years ago, but so sad this won't be possible again. Best wishes to all friends and family.

My deepest condolences to the Rotondo family. Rick was a great guy and good friend. I hate that we lost touch over the years but he was never far from my thoughts. His skills at middle linebacker for the Gladiators were remarkable. His instincts for finding the ball and making the "big hit" was a major factor in Colchester's magical season. Rick's love for life was infectious. I will truly miss him. Rest in Peace my friend.

The entire Colchester Gladiators American Football Club here in Essex, UK, is in a state of shock and disbelief. What a legend you were to those who knew you and played alongside you. Rick, such a big character, funny in every way.
You added so much fun to everything you did and everyone you met. Anyone that ever met you will always remember you.
Im lucky you were a friend mine while you were here in the UK.
I hadn't seen you for while but felt good knowing that we could still meet up sometime when we were both in the same place. This has been taken away from me and everyone now and as much as I try to fight it, Im so massively sad now mate - I loved you pal. If there is somewhere after this life - your making them laugh.
You will always be remembered. The world is a less interesting place without you. Love Steve xxxx
