Richard C. Scull

Richard C. Scull, 81, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 in his Wernersville home. He was the loving husband of Deborah P. (Mogel) Scull, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William and Evelyn (Scheffey) Bower. For many years, Richard was a salesman of automotive parts and tires for Motive Suppliers, Bandag and Central Tire & Auto Service. He spent several years running the in-house kitchen for Redner's Warehouse Markets. Most recently, he worked for Allied Universal Security at UGI. He also served as an administrator of the Lower Heidelberg Municipal Authority. Richard, above all, was a family man - a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was also a big fan of the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers. He enjoyed reading spy novels, playing solitaire, going to the casino, and snuggling with his dogs. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Deborah; daughters, Megan Hines, wife of Rick, of Wernersville and Ashley Scull of West Lawn; and grandchildren, Reilly and Shaffer. A Celebration of Richard's Life will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. 739 Penn Avenue West Reading, PA 19611.
