Richard Siegfried Obituary

Richard E. Siegfried, 79, of Cumru Twp., passed away in the morning hours of Monday, November 16, 2015, of natural causes, in Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia.

Born in Reading, PA, on January 10, 1936, Richard was the son of Earl Siegfried and Gladys Moser Smith.

Richard or "Dick" or "Dad" or "Gramp" was preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Andrukanis, and is survived by his loving wife, Anna May; daughter, Kim Lengel; and his six grandkids: Jared Andrukanis, Tyler Turner, Lindsay Andrukanis, Chris Lengel, Aubree Andrukanis and Haley Lengel.

Spending time with his family was what brought him the most happiness. If he wasn't with his family and loving wife, you could find him in his garage with his classic car collection, which was his favorite pastime.

He was a member of St. John Baptist de La Salle RC Church, Shillington.

His other memberships included: Lodge No. 62 F&AM; the Rajah Shrine for 40 years; was the past President of the Shrine Antique Car Club; the United Associated Grocers; and was a member of the Commissioners of Cumru Township.

Dick will be remembered for many things, but mostly for a few simple rules he lived by. Love your family - It's the most important thing, but even though you must take care of your own, always make room for others. Take care of your home - the way your yard looks is as important as the way you look. Be fair in business, and treat your customers better than you'd expect to be treated. Lend a hand - if someone needs help, help them out immediately and ask questions later.

Relatives and Friends may call Sunday, November 22, 2015, from 3-6 p.m. to visit with and share memories with the family, at the Klee Funeral Home, 1 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard's memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children at http://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.

We lived directly across the street from the store in Angelica. Richard and his Dad were wonderful neighbors and friends to our whole family. Even though we moved away many years ago, the good memories remain. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family on the passing of such a special man. May his soul rest in peace.

I just cannot express the loss that I feel personally and for the family. I know how very much he loved Anna, Vicki and Kim, and each grandchild.

I could talk for hours about the stories, life lessons, joys, and love that I shared with this man. Dick was a mentor, friend, and father to me.

I am so very grateful that you found a spot for me in your store, your family, and your heart. Enter into your reward, my friend.

Love,
Tim (son)

Sending love and healing light to shine bright your way through this tender time. What a blessing is has been to walk on this path together and to have so many memories to hold onto - always.

Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one's gone.

Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.
