Born on November 14, 1967, in Reading, he was the son
of the late John Bugera and Doris M. (Becker) Bugera.
He was a 1986 graduate of Fleetwood High School.
Rick worked for Rapid Suppression Fire Protect, Oley, for many years. He was an active member of Oley Fire
Company.
Rick found weather fascinating and became a certified severe weather spotter for the National Weather Service. He created a group who had like interests in the weather called Berks County Severe Weather Watchers so that
people could participate and be updated on severe weather events in the area. The group has 17000 members.
He also created two other groups the Berks County
Paranormal Association and You Know Your From
Fleetwood If.
Survived by his sister, Margaret E. (Bugera) Steinmetz,
of St. Louis, Missouri.
Rick was preceded in death by his brother, John "Skip" Bugera.
He was a special friend of the Yoder Family and a friend to many.
A gathering in Rick's honor were friends and firehouse family members can share memories and celebrate his life. The gathering will take place at Oley Fire Company engine room located on Main Street in Oley on Friday, November 18th, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

I knew Rick since he started school and was friends with his mother. I heard a lot about Rick from my younger son Rob was a classmate and friend of Rick's. So sorry to hear of the passing of such a nice boy.
