Rita Royle Obituary

Rita S. Royle, 79, Reading, passed away of natural causes April 5, 2009, in her residence.

She was the wife of Samuel B. Royle. They were married for 54 years.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Edwin L. and Florence R. (Jones) Keller.

She was employed 26 years by American Polarizers, Reading.

She was a member of the Salvation Army, Reading.

Surviving are three daughters: Susan B., wife of Mark S. Mackneer, Pittsburgh; Brenda J., wife of Colin DeVault, Carlisle; and Debra L., wife of Jose Alvarez, Reading; two stepsons and two stepdaughters.

Other survivors include eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

There are also a sister, Lynda Luckenbill, Reading; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Edwin L. Keller Jr., Mesa, Ariz., and Jarus Keller, Savannah, Ga.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Auman Funeral Homes, Reading, with Major Mark S.. Mackneer and Major Colin D. DeVault officiating. Friends may call tonight from 6 to 8 and Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
