CAVANAUGH, Robert E. Age 89, of Quincy passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family April 17th. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine M. (Gorski). Devoted father of Michael Cavanaugh & his wife Sandra of Quincy and Robert Cavanaugh and his wife Karen of Mansfield. Cherished grandfather of Kimberly, Joseph and Lauren Cavanaugh and great grandfather of Gavin Krystyniak and Maddy Knoblich. Dear brother of Gert Finn of Dorchester and the late May Bandy, Hazel Cavanaugh, Helen DeMille, Alice Drennen, James, George, Richard and John Cavanaugh. Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock St., N. Quincy, Thurs. morning at 10. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Wed. 4 to 8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Retired Crane Operator and late member of IUOE Local 4 and Old Colony Yacht Club, Dorchester. WW II Army Veteran.
