Robert Heydt

1929 - 2021

Robert E. Heydt of Boyertown, PA, husband of the late Erla M. (Sullivan) passed away at Pennsburg Manor on October 11, 2021. Born in Berks County on December 7, 1929, he was the son of the late Elsie Mae (Grabert) and Edwin D Heydt. Robert worked at the Boyertown Body Works. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boyertown, PA. Robert loved pets, especially cats and dogs. He enjoyed going out to eat. Robert was a football fan; his favorite teams were the Eagles and Penn State. Robert is survived by his sons, William (Billy) Heydt, husband of Debbie of Barto, PA, and Chad Heydt, husband of Debra of Haw River, NC; grandchildren, Haley, Noah, Justin, and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Liam and Lily. Robert is predeceased by his son, Robert L. Heydt of West Hollywood, CA; brothers, Melvin (Leroy), Harold, Gerald Richard, Charles Heydt, and sister Gloria (Heydt) Oswald. A memorial graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 10 am at the Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown, PA.
