Robert Hoffman

Robert B. Hoffman, 84, of Mifflin Park, died December 6, 2012 at 2:43 PM in the Reading Hospital, where he was a patient since Saturday, December 1st.

He was the husband of the late Patricia L. (Gormley) Hoffman, who died January 3, 2010 on their 57th wedding anniversary.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Bruce David & Ruth (Dries) Hoffman.

Bob worked at American Bank & Trust / Meridian Bank for 37 years, retiring in 1990 as Vice President of Operations.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a former member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Reading where he was a long term Board Member and Sunday School Superintendent. He was a Charter Member of Cornerstone Family Church, Royersford.

Bob was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School, Indianapolis, IN and Albright College Class of 1950. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, S.C.O.R.E. (Service Corps of Retired Executives) and volunteering at the Reading Hospital.

He enjoyed traveling, the Phillies, politics and history.

Bob is survived by 4 sons: David R. Hoffman, San Pedro, CA; Stephen R., husband of Karen Hoffman, Allentown; Richard J. Hoffman, Cumru Township, and James P., husband of Lisa Hoffman, Havertown, PA.

He is also survived by grandsons James Robert Hoffman and William Christopher Hoffman.

Funeral services from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 12 Noon. Rev. Paul W. Thornhill will officiate. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Viewing Tuesday 11:30 -12 Noon.
