Born in Coal Twp., Northumberland County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Pauline (Tobasco) Marcheskie.
Bob worked at Stanley G. Flagg Co. for over thirty-seven years, where he was a member of the quarter century club.
Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving, along with his wife, is his daughter, Roberta Ellis, wife of Timothy; daughter-in-law, Cathi, wife of Rich Maziarz; three grandchildren: Melissa Eigenbrodt, wife of Bryan; David J. Marcheskie Jr., fiancé of Lauren Boykin; and Samantha Clark, wife of Andrew; one great-grandson, Jackson Timothy Eigenbrodt; one brother, Thomas Marcheskie, husband of Sylvia; two sisters, Marlene Shaffer, wife of William, and Connie Karpinskie; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Bob was predeceased by his son, David J. Marcheskie Sr., and sister, Barbara Shinskie, wife of the late Albert.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held Monday, December 14, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 301 Cherry Street, Pottstown, PA 19464, with Fr. Nicholas DeProspero officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Monday from 8:30-10:00 a.m. with prayers starting at 10:00 a.m. at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Fuel Fund, 301 Cherry Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.

Bob and I have become friends over the years....I will miss him tremendously. Bob and I have had lots of long talks and laughs together. I was his nurse at the hospital and we all loved him. Susan Beard.
