I know I am posting this very late but I only just found out as I am no longer in the Reading area. So sorry for your loss. I loved his environmental science class at Wilson. I still have somewhere in my mother's basement his Keys to Trees. My love of birds and hobby of identifying them by markings or by their calls was a direct result of Mr. Ringler's class. I remember all his bird photo slide shows for tests and I honestly think of that class everytime I am able to identify a black capped chickadee or a cedar wax wing. Thank you to Mr. Ringler for helping me discover the lovely things in nature that I hadn't noticed while I was busy with the usual teenage distractions. His class was one of favorite classes during my entire time in the Wilson School District and he really opened my eyes to the natural world around me. My sincere condolences to his family. Truly a loss as well to the field of environmental education.

My deepest sympathy to the family. May he rest in peace. Mr. Ringler was my teacher many years ago and he was always kind and patient and taught me so much about nature. I have never forgotten him and I never will.
