He was the husband of Dolores J. (Billiard) Trumbauer.
He was born in Rockland Township, son of Arthur Trumbauer of Dorneyville, Lehigh County, and the late Elsie (Kline) Trumbauer.
Ron was the former owner of Trumbauer Heating and Plumbing of Topton for many years, leaving the business in September 2000. For the next six years, he worked at Spruce Lake Retreat in Canadensis, Pa. In 2006, he retired to his farm, Eden West, in Petersburg, W.Va., where he loved to garden and grow flowers.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Petersburg, W.Va., and a member and current president of the Ruritan Club of Petersburg. He also was a member of the Kutztown Grange.
He graduated from Brandywine High School in 1962.
Survivors include his wife, father, and daughter, Connie M. (Trumbauer) Metzger and friend, Troy Tipton, of Grove, Okla.; and two sons, Butch C.A. Trumbauer of Fleetwood and Brian R. and wife Amy Trumbauer of Topton.
Also surviving are three sisters: Shirley (Trumbauer), wife of Donald Peiffer, Lenhartsville; Mary (Trumbauer), wife of Randy Caldwell, of Manheim, and Carol (Trumbauer) Proctor of Manheim; and two brothers, Terry Trumbauer and wife Alice, Reading, and Alan Trumbauer and wife Jennifer, Easton.
There are six grandchildren: Jamie Metzger, Austin Metzger, Devin Metzger, Zach Trumbauer, Emma Trumbauer and Charlie Trumbauer.
Also surviving is his loving dog, Alex.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 117 W. Main St., Fleetwood. Viewing time is Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Burial in Hope Cemetery, Lyons.
