Ruth Whitehead Obituary
Ruth Whitehead, 82, formerly of Mount Airy, PA, passed away from our midst Thursday, May 12, in the Lutheran Home at Topton, Topton, PA.
Ruth, a good, kind and gentle soul, will be greatly missed by her family.
She was the widow of Joseph V. Whitehead.
Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Martha (Gold-mann) Heymann.
Surviving are one son, Joe M. Whitehead, and wife Cheryl A. of Temple, PA; and one daughter, Barbara A., widow of William Gibney of Quakertown, PA.
There are two grandchildren, Norma Solliday, and husband Paul, and Jake Whitehead. There is also one great-grandson, Luke Solliday.
She was predeceased by one brother, Henry Hey-mann.
Friends may attend a gathering with the family on Monday, May 23, 2011, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 S. Home Ave., Topton, PA 19562. Interment will be private.
Arrangements are en-trusted to the care of Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memor-ial contributions may be made to Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries, Advancement Department, Cindy Alexander, 798 Hausman Rd., Suite 300, Allentown, PA 18104.
