Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mabel (Henninger) Wright.
She was a local Girl Scout Leader for many years. She and her husband moved from Gouglersville to Hershey, where she was employed at the Milton S. Hershey School.
While living in Hershey, she was a member of the Annville-Cleona Woman's Club where she once received the Woman of Today Award. Upon retirement, they moved to Lakeland, Fla.
Survivors include her son, Rick D., husband of Valerie L. Strunk, Shillington; daughter, Chris L., wife of Kevin Maxwell, Sinking Spring; son, Brad J., husband of Cindy Strunk, Sinking Spring; six grandchildren: Jared C., husband of Kim Maxwell; Kirsten L., wife of Jason Whitman; Amber M. Strunk; Rachel M. Strunk; Brielle L. Strunk; and Tyler D. Strunk; and two brothers.
She was predeceased by one brother.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 19 Vermont Road, Gouglersville, with Pastor Debora K. Gifford officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the National Kidney Foundation, Philadelphia Bourse Building, 111 S. Independence Mall East, Suite 411, Philadelphia, PA 19106-2521.
