Born October 10, 1960 in Reading, he was a son of the late John M. Sr. and Sandra Sue (Kunkle) Bower.
Scott was a 1978 graduate of Oley Valley High School.
He was employed with Yuasa for 32 years, his last position was Production Superintendent.
Scott loved to play golf and quoits and loved watching soccer, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his two daughters, Elizabeth M., wife of Robert S. Angstadt, of Leesport and Jaime L., wife of Adam J. Nace, of Fleetwood. Other survivors include his five siblings: Michael J.G. Bower, companion of Kelly Kauffman of Fleetwood; Daniel S. Bower of Temple; John M. Bower Jr. of Temple; Sandra J., wife of Robert Bitting, of Fleetwood; and Mary Ellen, wife of Geoffrey Bender, of Sinking Spring. There are also three grandchildren surviving: Brooke, Megan and Wyatt.
Scott was predeceased by his brother, Charles P. "Chucky" Bower, who died October 13, 2005; and his sister, Jeanne L. Yoder, who died October 25, 2007.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday evening at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Burial will be private in Spies-Zion Cemetery, Alsace Township.
