She was the widow of Calvin C. “Homer” Ulrich Sr., who died Feb. 27, 1998.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Arthur E. Scheetz.
She was the owner and operator of Lebanon Valley House Restaurant, Wernersville, and also head housekeeper at the Holiday Inn, Lancaster. She had previously been employed by Dana Corp.
She was a member of Olive Leaf Sunday school, Spring Township.
Shirley was a loving mother and sister and a wonderful cook.
Surviving are six sons: Calvin C. Ulrich Jr., Robesonia; Larry L. Ulrich, Shillington; Gregory S. Ulrich, Robesonia; Martin S. Ulrich, Reinholds; Kerry E. Ulrich, Wernersville; and Kevin A. Ulrich, Sinking Spring.
Other survivors include a brother, Robert P. Scheetz, Reading; and four sisters: Kathryn L. Lepore, Reading; Barbara L. Kershner, Hamburg; Roseline E. Graffius, Reading; and Regina A. McMory, Robesonia.
There also are 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and her pet dog, Stitch.
She was predeceased by a brother, Richard D. Scheetz.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. in Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc., Wernersville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caring Hospice Services, 400 Commerce Drive, Suite C, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
