Thomas Trexler Obituary

Thomas Michael Trexler, 82, of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, passed away at home on September 18th after a courageous battle against Alzheimer's. And while this disease impacted his own memories and strength, those who have known him will not forget his smile, his laughter, his compassion…and also his generosity, which was offered genuinely and happily in many forms-knowledgeable guidance, financial assistance, or simply words of encouragement.

Over his lifetime, Tom was many things-student at Central Catholic, St. Benedict's College, and Alvernia College; insurance agent turned financial planner for John Hancock; golfer; international traveler; dedicated Phillies and Sixers fan; and singer in the church choir, as well as alongside his player piano. He was also a friend, son, brother, and uncle. But he took the most pride in being a husband, father, and grandfather. Tom is survived by his wife, Verna; his three children, Tom Jr., Michael, and Stacy; and his six grandchildren, Tommy, Tori, Maggie, Ben, Lily, and Brody.

While Tom wished that no formal services be held, his wife, children, children's spouses, and grandchildren, will gather together on one of his favorite beaches to remember an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and human.

Tom was the grandfather to one of my son´s best friends so we saw him often at baseball games. He always joked around with me and made me laugh as well as laughed at my jokes. He was definitely one of the good ones. He will be missed! My thoughts and prayers to the family.
