Travis Quillman Obituary

Travis Scott Quillman, formerly of Birchrunville, died suddenly January 20.

He was 32. Born in Metairie, Louisiana, to R. Scott Quillman and Meredith "Mimi" Borst.

Travis graduated from Wyomissing High School in 2003. He played football for Wyomissing, but

excelled at track and field events where he was the silver medalist in the 2003 state high jump championship. His love of football took him to the University of South Carolina where he was an avid supporter of the Gamecocks. In 2007, Travis graduated with a BS in Finance.

Travis moved back to the Philadelphia area first living in Manayunk, and then Haverford.

Travis was a Senior Accounting Consultant with SEI

Investments in Oaks.

During the weekends, Travis liked to spend time with his friend and companion, Kaitlin, or be at home with his family in Birchrunville watching football or walking his beloved Labrador Retriever, Bailey, and Jerry, his Corgi. In what soon became a yearly tradition, Travis and younger brother, Ian would join their father for a "boys only" ski trip to

Colorado. This year's trip was already planned and booked.

Travis will always be remembered as a gentle soul – a sensitive and compassionate person. Last Christmas Eve when the family at large got together to celebrate, Travis offered to read the Christmas prayer at dinner. It was beautiful. We will all miss Travis very much.

Private services will be observed by the family.

A memorial service will be held in Wyomissing later in the spring. Details to follow.

In lieu of flowers, a donation tothe Brandywine SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380 is appreciated. Donations may also be made to Caron Foundations Development, P.O. Box 150, Wernersville, PA 19565, with the notation, "In honor of Travis Quillman."
