Born in Pottsville, on July 9, 1921, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Gertrude (Clark) Davis.
She was a graduate of Pottsville High School.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Sinking Spring.
Viola was employed at Bethlehem Steel in Lebanon during WWII. She was a cook for many years at Whitfield Elementary School, Wilson School District. S he retired from Western Electric, Reading, after more than 20 years of service.
She is survived by a son, Carl R. Sabold Jr., husband of Patricia, Robesonia; a daughter, Karen A. wife of Francis Connor, Glen Mills, Pa.; a sister, Myrtle Geist, Downingtown; a granddaughter, Amy, wife of Seth Mendelsohn, Harrisburg; grandson, Bret A.B. Sabold, husband of Kelly (Snyder), Bernville; and 4 great-grandchildren, Karly, Owen, Zoe, and Alex.
She was also predeceased by 2 brothers, Thomas and
Reese Davis.
Viola's family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at Phoebe Berks for their loving care given to our mother the past 11 years.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Phoebe Berks Village Chapel, Wernersville, with Rev. Leah Knox officiating.
A visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Phoebe Chapel.
Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 4125 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, PA 19608.
