He was the husband of Lynda L. (Grim) Shenk.
Born Nov. 6, 1946, in Perry Township, he was a son of the late Wade Armentrout and Irene Shenk Hinnershitz.
Wade had worked for 20 years at Windsor Service Inc., Hyde Park, and last worked at Krapf’s Coaches Inc., Reading, from 2000 to 2005.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Wendy A. (Shenk), wife of William Milyo, Blandon; and two sons, Christopher L., husband of Tracy A. (Brown) Shenk, Leesport; and Roger A., husband of Christina (Yaroslosky) Shenk, Leesport.
Other survivors include four brothers: Gary R. Shenk, Mohrsville; Jeffrey L. Hinnershitz, Preston, Md.; and Bruce Hinnershitz and Brian Hinnershitz, both of Hurlock, Md.
Also surviving are three sisters: Gloria G. (Kauffman) Noll, Auburn; Janine L. (Hinnershitz) Masternardi, and Michelle (Hinnershitz) Meyers, both of Preston Md.; and a stepsister, Shannon (Armentrout) Walker, Indianapolis.
There also are six grandchildren.
Wade was predeceased by a son, Chad A. Shenk, on Jan. 2, 1989; and by a brother, Gerald Kauffman, in 1968.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Mae A. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 117 W. Main St., Fleetwood. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. Viewing time for friends and family is Monday 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions made to the John & Dorothy Morgan Cancer Center, 1240 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, PA 18103.
