On Friday, April 12, 2019, The Reading Phillies (Fightins) will open the Baseball Season. There will, however,be a vacant seat in the 900 Section of the Stadium. The seat of Warren Kulp, season ticketholder, Phillies Fan (who new his baseball)and one beautiful person. He suffered, over the most recent years, but, retained his ever present smile. I am an usher at the stadium (16 years) so I have know Warren for a little while. At the end of the past season I spoke to Warren and conveyed this message, "this job is made rewarding because of people like you I, I think he was taken aback, for a moment hugged me and Thanked me. On the opening day I will look up to his vacant seat and say a prayer for a special person. Warren you were unique.

Our condolences go out to you Carol, Cathy, Tom, Charlie and Andrew and the rest of your family. Warren was so loved by my children as I always told them stories of our days working at Muhlenberg and getting to stop in to see Mr. Warren almost on a monthly basis at Chick-fil-a. He was a rock at a time in my life when I needed it most and always an encourager all the time that I knew him. he will be truly missed.

Mr. Warren, as I always knew him, was a legend for treating others as you would want to be treated. We probably shared 1000 conversations together between when we worked together at my first real job in high school at Chick-Fil-A and/or after that time when he was almost like family. He was such a good guy, almost like a grandfather to me. In the truest sense he was a beloved, blue-collar ballbuster that believed in the best of people, the Bible and our country in general. Big Steelers fan too (which I harassed him about regularly, but we were deeply united in our disdain for the Patriots). He was one of the few people in business that truly cared about what was happening in your life. He lit up so many people's lives. Scott Keiser (owner-operator at the Broadcasting Square Chick-Fil-A) owes a huge piece of his operation's growth and success to Mr. Warren's friendly face and the atmosphere he fostered. He was the ultimate example for those after him to follow in working hard, loving others and edifying this truth in life: long after Mr. Warren's untimely passing, people will remember not the words that were shared but they will always remember how he made them feel - cherished, appreciated and valuable regardless of class, creed or condition. Rest in Peace!
