He was the loving partner of Kathleen J. (Troutman) Bower. Born December 3, 1946, in Reading, he was a son of the late Robert, husband of Ethel (Berkenstock) Heagy, of Kenhorst, and the late Bertha (Kazmierczak) Klemmer.
Bill was a 1964 graduate of Reading High School.
He worked in the auto sales industry for over 30 years and was the owner/operator of Bill's Auto Sales, Leesport, for 17 years.
Bill was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Glenside, where he served on church council.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf.
Also surviving are his three children: Lisa A., wife
of Arthur F. Reichert, of Shillington, Cynthia M. Heagy,
of Mohnton, and William R. Heagy Jr., of Wernersville.
Other survivors include his two brothers, Theodore E., husband of Janet Bachulski, of Raleigh, N.C., and Terrance D., husband of Joyce P. Bachulski, of West Chester; his
sister, Deborah A., wife of Jay Morris, of Medford, N.J., and his half-sister, Bonnie, wife of Kermit Kleinsmith,
of Muhlenberg Township.
There are also seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren surviving.
Services will be Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Christ Lutheran Church, 1301 Luzerne Street, Reading, Pa. 19601, with a viewing held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter
Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church at the above address and/or Opportunity House
