William Onushco Obituary
Fr. William Onushco of the Diocese of Allentown, Pa., past away June 4th, 2015, after an arduous illness of 4th stage Kidney Disease.
Throughout his vocation, he presided over as Priest and or Pastor at 15 Parishes throughout the Diocese.
Fr. Onushco taught at Nativity BVM High School and was head of the Theology Department in Pottsville, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ambrose Church, 201 Randel St., Schuylkill Haven, PA, Thursday, June 11th at 11:00 a.m. Viewing begins Thursday, June 11th at 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass at church. Interment will follow at St. Ambrose cemetery.
Geschwindt-Stabingas, FHI, Schuylkill Haven, has been entrusted with arrangements.

Fr. Onushco's guidance and friendship was an integral part of my memories of Nativity High School. He was truly beloved by many of the class of '81.

Father Onushco was to me the epitome of what it means to serve in the priesthood. I had many great teachers in high school, but he was far and away the best. He was intelligent, thoughtful, and dedicated to his students. He was one of my heroes. A great man who touched many lives and he will be missed.

I will always remember you Fr. Bill. I knew you at Sacred Heart in West Reading, and we met again when I was the director of development at Nativity BVM High School. You always came in to talk with me after teaching your classes. You shared names of possible major donors and other alumni from Nativity to me! I loved those times we had together. You'll always be in my heart!

Father Onushco was one of my favorite teachers at Nativity BVM during my high school career. I thank him for being a great teacher and person, and instilling in me a love of teaching. thoughts and prayer to the entire family.
