Born in Pottstown, he was a son of Sarah A. (Levengood) Scheifley, Boyertown, and Reginald N. Scheifley, husband of Nancy L., Douglassville.
Mr. Scheifley worked for 20 years as the owner of Scheifley Tree Service, Boyertown. He also worked for more than 18 years with Local 1595 as a carpenter, last working in 1995.
He was a 1981 graduate of Boyertown High School.
Scheifley was a member of the Reading Motorcycle Club in Oley; the Boyertown Legion, the Oley Fire Company and the Friendship Hook & Ladder Fire Company in Boyertown.
Surviving in addition to his parents and stepmother are four daughters: Tira K., Devan T., Haley A. and Autumn L.S. Scheifley, all of Boyertown.
Other survivors include a brother, Michael A. Scheifley, husband of Anne M., Douglassville.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Morrell Funeral Home Inc., 124 W. Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown. Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville.
Contributions may be made in his memory for the children of William Scheifley, c/o National Penn Bank, P.O. Box 547, Philadelphia and Reading Avenues, Boyertown, PA 19512.
