David Corkill Obituary

David J. Corkill, Sr. died March 9, 2010 after a short illness.
Born in Fresno, CA on May 24, 1930. Dave and his first wife, Eileen, moved to Novato in 1962 and the following year to Petaluma, where they raised their four children. He coached little league baseball in Petaluma's Valley League and was a member of St. James Church and the Knights of Columbus. Dave married his second wife, Betty, in 1982 and following retirement they moved to Hidden Valley Lake where he lived the rest of his life. He was an active member of the local Moose Lodge and the community at large. Dave spent his entire professional career as a lithographer at various printing firms located in Fresno and San Francisco.
Dave was preceded in death by his second wife, Betty. In addition to his first wife, Eileen, and brother Gilbert, Dave is survived by children David and Derek of Petaluma, Debbie of Granite Bay and Daniel of Idaho. He is also survived by stepdaughter Debbie DeSoto of Santa Rosa and eight grandchildren.
A celebration of Dave's life will be held March 21st at 1 p.m. at the Clearlake Oaks Moose Lodge located at Highways. 20 and 53. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Moose Lodge.
