Nancy Benefield Obituary
She was born July 10, 1939 in Upper Lake to Gilbert and Edith DeMeo. In 1957, she married her one and only love, Leroy Benefield.
She was employed by the L.U.S.D. as a cafeteria worker for 26 years, retiring in 2004. Nancy's greatest claim was being a loving wife, mother and MeMe. There was nothing she was more proud of in life.
She is survived by her husband Leroy, daughters Cheryl (Tim) Morin of Lakeport, Rhonda (Tim) Earley of Santa Rosa. She has four grandchildren; Brandon and Terra Morin and Kyle and Kendra Earley. She is also survived by sister, Lillian Sullivan of Lakeport and many nieces and nephews.
The family prefers any donations be made to Hospice of Lakeport. Private family memorial will be held. She may be gone, but never forgotten!

Leroy we are so sorry even though we moved to Oregon a few years ago we still ask Beth & Bob Rodriguez (my sister) how you two were doing. We will miss Nancy a lot. God Bless you and your family

Nancy I am really going to miss you. I remember you from way back in the day(yes I know we are family but apart from the family part) when you worked at the elementary school... and us always stopping at your house for a while every halloween. It seems like everyone in the Benefield family is going pretty fast. You will be missed. Rest in peace :o)

To Nancy's family members,
I knew Nancy as I have worked at Lakeport Elementary since September of 1973. She was a wonderful lady and she will be missed by many. Do be comforted by those wonderful memories you all have of her even though it is hard to lose someone you love and cherish. I am sure she would want you to move on with your lives remembering your special moments together and sharing the love that she always shared with you. I know I will always remember the wonderful meals she helped cook and serve at our school for all to enjoy. Bless you all,
