Albert Olschefski Obituary

Albert (Al) A. Olschefski, 85, husband of Rose M. Olschefski, died on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. Born in Meriden, on March 4, 1933, he was the son of the late Albert and Agnes Olschefski. He had resided in Meriden all his life and had attended Wilcox Tech. Mr. Olschefski was, employed by AMF CUNO as a machinist. He was a parishioner of St. Mary Church. Al was active with St. Mary School, parish and Boy Scout Troop 28 and was an avid bowler.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Amy O'Donnell, Karl Olschefski and his partner Terry McBrien and Heidi Boyd; two grandchildren, Chris and Denver Boyd; brothers-in-law, Fred Steinbeck, Jr., and his wife Barbara and John Steinbeck. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Dolores Antonucci and his son-in-law, Chris Boyd.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday, January 11, 2019, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady Queen of Angels, St. Joseph Campus, 22 Goodwill Avenue, Meriden. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church prior to the Mass from 10 to 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
