Arthur Watson Obituary

WALLINGFORD - Arthur D. Watson, 76, of Wallingford, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the MidState Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Delores "Dot" Varney Watson.

Born in McAdam, New Brunswick, Canada, June 26, 1936, a son of the late William O. and Lena C. Wilson Watson, he was a Wallingford resident for many years. He had been employed by Cytec Corp. in Wallingford for many years before his retirement.

He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Perillo and her husband, John, of Wallingford; his sons, Douglas Watson and his wife, Joan, of Wallingford, Troy Watson and his wife, Sharon, of Enfield, and David Watson and his wife, Laura, of Wallingford; his grandchildren, Michael Perillo, Adam Perillo, Ashley Watson, Garrett Watson, George Watson, and Jeanette Watson; his sister, Juanita MacArthur, of Nackawik, New Brunswick, Canada; his brothers, Osmond Watson, of Toronto, Canada, and Edward Watson, of McAdam, New Brunswick, Canada; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws, Gerry and Arnold Tuck, of Wallingford. He was predeceased by his son, William L. Watson; his sisters, Winifred Stevens and Jean Watson; and his brothers, Harvey Watson and Forrest Watson.

The family would like to thank Betty Williams and his many friends and neighbors for the care and friendship they have shown Arthur during his illness.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext. Wallingford, Friday from 4 to 5:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. in The Wallingford Funeral Home. Interment will be private in the In Memoriam Cemetery.
