Barbara Tomassetti Daly Obituary
She was born in Meriden, Sep. 20, 1933, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mildred NemicTomassetti and a dear niece of the late Elsie Tomassetti Sinicrope. She was a graduate of Meriden High School, class of 1951 and later attended the University of Conn. and Endicott College. She worked as a buyer for G. Fox & Company and Esther's Dress Shop of Wallingford. Over the past 40 years she worked as a travel agent for Squire Travel of Meriden, Mercury Travel of Wallingford and Cheshire and most recently, New Haven Travel.
She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Thomas G. and Patricia F. Daly, of Wallingford; her two grandchildren, Marisa and Tyler Daly, who were her pride and joy; and a loving sister, Linda S. Wanat, of N.J.
Her greatest joy was her immediate and extended family. She was a thoughtful and caring sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She enjoyed cheering on the Boston Red Sox and UConn Huskies.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street, Ext., Wallingford, Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held in The Wallingford Funeral Home, at 1 p.m. Interment will be at In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to The Wallingford Rotary Foundation, P. O. Box 213, Wallingford, CT 06492. www.wallingfordfh.com

Barbara was a great friend and neighbor and one of the nicest people we have ever met. We enjoyed her company and her pleasant and upbeat disposition. Our family will miss her smiling face and concerns for our family. We will also miss our Yankee and Red Sox yearly bet. Tom, Marilyn, Jason and Tamara.

Barbara was my dear friend when I was a young girl. Barabara, Joan Germaine, Marylyn Noon and I were a little click. An entire lifetime has gone by since I saw her last, but I always had a special place for her in my heart. rest in peace my dear friend, some day we will meet again. Bless your loved ones.

I was so sorry to hear the news.
My Mom, Elaine, was a high school classmate, and always spoke very fondly of Barbara. She booked my family's cruise for my Mom & Dad's 50th Anniversary a few years ago, and was a wonderful help.
