I was a co-worker (she did all the work) of Carmen's wife Gail. I have one seemingly small memory that Gail mentioned and it tells us a lot about Carmen. Carmen had already retired and did much work around their home while Gail was at CT Public Safety. When their dog was sick and dying, Carmen told Gail how much he'd miss the dog as it followed him around as he did his chores and could talk to it. He really appreciated the four legged gift from God. All of Gail's co-workers sensed that Gail had a great husband.

Dear Deb and Randy,

Sorry to hear about your dad. I have countless fond memories of him going back to riding home from the bus stop in his old brown Pontiac station wagon while he held the passenger side door closed with a piece of rope. Decorating your Christmas tree we were sternly warned to be very careful not to break any ornaments just before he smashed the first one and we all had a good laugh. He was always good to me.
I wish you well and hope that your hearts are warmed by pleasant thoughts of one terrific guy.
